This detailed and nostalgic scene of York contains plenty for puzzle fans to enjoy. Check out all the different vehicles, including the forerunner to today’s superminis, the very cool “Bubble” car. The policeman seems to have got his eye on this anyway, or is it all the chocolate bars the delivery driver is carrying? The delivery van and red bus show advertisements for products associated with York, as Rowntrees was founded in the city in 1862, and they operated sweet-making factories there until 2006. Behind the vehicles we can see the historic City Wall and the spires of York Minster. We are grateful to the owners of the Rowntrees brand, Nestle, for allowing us to reproduce the Kit Kat and Polo logos in this illustration. This design is just one in a series of nostalgic puzzles depicting happy days in various towns and cities across the United Kingdom. Other designs include scenes showing Whitby, London, Sidmouth, Lynmouth, the Lake District and Windsor. Ravensburger adult puzzles are made using “Softclick Premium Puzzle” technology. This uses thicker and stronger board (manufactured especially for Ravensburger), and hand-crafted cutting tools resulting in strong, smooth and dust-free pieces with a superb fit. Founded in 1883, Ravensburger remains a family owned business specializing in the development and manufacture of jigsaw puzzles and games. All of our cardboard jigsaw puzzles are made in our own European factories and use the finest quality print and materials. Much of our range is developed especially for the British market by our Oxfordshire-based development team, who actively support the work of British artists, illustrators and graphic designers. Ravensburger Puzzles are easily identified by the “blue triangle” logo.
