First time shopping with NZGameShop. Code was sent to me within 24 hours and worked, completely legit and lower cost than Origins. The game is great. Graphically it's well presented and game play works fine now. I had reservations but it seems the patches have fixed a lot of the broken mechanics everyone used to complain about (such as traffic). It works offline too now, which is important with New Zealands rubbish internet. It's not perfect; I find things like panning and rotating the camera unnecessarily awkward, and trying to place arced roads. That said, it's good fun and has lots of hours of game play. There's a good variety of ways to play the game too, from industry to retail. I'd recommend buying it. Although I'm not a fan of the way EA seem cut more out so they can sell more expansion packs, it's still good fun.

Wondering where your time went? You've probably been playing SimCity. This is such an expansive and intelligent game its so easy to get lost in. I found myself increasing taxes (boo!) just to keep the schools open (yay!), but then the workers started leaving and the factories started closing because the taxes were high. These people are high maintenance. Everything you do from choosing your initial plot of land to building a sewage treatment plant beside a residential area really does matter. it rocks. Oh yeah, theres earthquakes too.

this game could entertain me for hours. yes there are many bugs and the servers are shocking but despite that i am enjoying the game. i did not previously play the other simcitys so i cannot compare them to that but i am liking the game so far.

This is basically the simplified version of simcity 4 with better graphics. Learning the game is extremely easy. Although the land does get crowded, the intention of the game is for you to build multiple cities that work together as a region. It is definitely fun and hours can be wasted on it, provided the server is working. The "sending aid" option is still bugged from time to time. I have also noticed the delay of "problem note" in the game. For example, if there is insufficient water supply in your city, the note will not disappear for a while, even though you've corrected the situation by building more water sources. The experience would definitely improve with a better server, which EA is working on.

Despite the issues it's a pretty interesting game, heaps of advanced mechanics make becoming a super profitable city very difficult while at the same time maintaining stability. Having played it all weekend and getting a good gist of things, EA's always on DRM is really annoying, but it doesn't pop up too much and the game is good enough to outweigh that mostly.
