From the same designer of Pandemic, this co-op game plays similar to that game in terms of mechanics. If you like Pandemic, you may like this as it uses the same exact card off the top of the deck and once you get a certain card you have to reshuffle those cards back onto the top of said deck. I prefer Pandemic over this as this is much lighter and quicker that lacks even more depth than Pandemic. Good family game though.

A good solid co-op game that is a good intro game for younger players. Each player has a character with unique abilities. Combine this with a randomised board layout and each game is different. Highly recommend this game, but if you want a bit more of a challenge, then look at Forbidden Desert which is a bit more of a gamer's game.

This really is a great game. I intended to pick it up last year but forgot all about it. I recently got it on iOS and that prompted me to buy the board game. I've played it duo and solo and tried out a fair few of the pawn colour combos. I'm finding it easiest using the pilot and the messenger as a team, (using iOS as a gauge here too...it's harder on that platform) The Engineer's pretty pumped too. As a character the diver looks to be a bit weak at the moment. I've had some tense games, sitting out on a couple of tiles hoping for a chopper card. Plus, I've lost twice in 10 games by turning over Waters Rise and Fool's Landing in the first hand...bad luck. Success rates have been high on novice so it's time to move onto normal I think. I'm keen to try out the other map configurations (available on the web), which should and some flavour. As said above, it is a good solid game and well worth the investment.

This is a great little game for families and couples gaming evenings. It's a cooperative game where 2-4 players attempt to find and escape the island with four treasures. Unfortunately the island is sinking rather quickly and possibly with evil intent. Each turn players have to make balanced choices between moving, stopping the island from sinking and capturing treasures. Players will have to work together to win the game. Each game the island has a different layout as well and there's a mix of different characters to play so there's plenty of variety and replay value. At $26nz this game is outstanding value for money. It comes in a robust tin and the cards and game pieces are excellent quality. The artwork is pleasing and the rules are simple and clearly laid out. We play it regularly with our two you sons (6 and 9) both who enjoy the game.
