I really like this game. You start out as a fairly weak hero and during the course of the game you become much stronger through completing adventures that earn your trophies and gold. You can spend the gold to buy better equipment and you can spend the trophies to learn new skills. The mechanics are pretty innovative: you use dice to explore different areas on your quests, you flip over cards to look for successes during social encounters, and you cast tokens for combat. The combat mechanics the most innovative aspect of the game, and I quite enjoy them. As per usual with any Fantasy Flight game, the components and artwork are top notch and really help you to immerse yourself in the game. The rule books are also excellent. There's a learn to play guide which steps you through your first game, and a rules reference which makes finding any rule very quick and easy. I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys fantasy themed games and doesn't mind spending a fair amount of time playing them. The game takes about an hour per player so a 4 player game will last all night. 2 player seems to be the best since the down time is minimal and the game won't outstay its welcome.
