Reviews of The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess (Selects) Game Wii

  • rated this product 4.5 out of 5 stars
As some of you may know, this was one of the flagship games for the wii with its release to the western world in 2006. And looking back, "Twilight Princess" was really something to marvel at. Graphics - at the time, this game had graphics enough to compete with other games in the market. Maybe not nowadays, but visualisations are definitely not lacking in appeal. Taking a gaming franchise previously known to be a bright and happy platformer and portraying it with a much darker overtone was definitely what the series needed. The emotions from the various environments really leap out and bring you into their world. Gameplay - this game was excellent in how it introduced the motion controllers to the wider audience. Swinging the controllers to slash and using the wiimote to aim was definitely something (though keep in mind that the next installment on the wii, "Skyward Sword" took the next level). However, the gameplay was smooth and easy to master, and the various levels simple yet challenging. The sceneries and environments are wide and open, perfect for an adventure game. Music - the soundtrack to the game was not too memorable (though its predecessors did set the bar extremely high), but it was definitely more than suitable. Each scenario was well emulated with a matching and expressive soundtrack - probably the most memorable was the initial ride into the fields. An epic fanfare played as Link journeyed into a land half immersed in the twilight. Overall, a great game. And also a great start for the wii. A must have if you're a Zelda fan are are looking for a more serious overtone to the franchise. Definitely worth its time.
