Product Description

Hyrule Warriors Wii U Game

Hyrule Warriors Wii U Game, based on a collaboration between Nintendo and Tecmo Koei that combines the worlds of Zelda and the long-running Dynasty Warrior series.

Cut down entire legions of enemies as Link, Zelda, Midna and other characters from The Legend of Zelda franchise using over-the-top powerful Dynasty Warriors-style moves. This tour de force through the beloved locales of Hyrule will have players battling some of the fiercest enemies in The Legend of Zelda history.

Two players can play local co-op, with one player joining with the Wii U GamePad controller and another with the Wii U Pro Controller or Wii Remote + Nunchuk controllers.

Hyrule Warriors Features:

  • The delicate balance of the Triforce has been disrupted and Hyrule Kingdom is once again being torn apart by a dark power, this time led by Sorceress Cia.
  • Heroic Link carves through a huge onslaught of enemies as he executes flashy moves with combat attacks. This also marks the first time that many other iconic characters from The Legend of Zelda franchise are playable for any length of time, including Princess Zelda, Impa and Midna.
  • Protect and reclaim recognizable landmarks from multiple games in The Legend of Zelda series, including such classic areas like Hyrule Field and the Palace of Twilight.
  • Push back armies of classic enemies from The Legend of Zelda, as well as powerful enemies making their debuts in Hyrule Warriors.
  • Advance the story to unlock new playable characters, each with unique moves and weapon types. Collect Rupees and other useful items to upgrade weapons and craft badges, which players can use to bolster each warrior’s abilities.
  • Two warriors are better than one: Battle armies with a friend using local co-op mode, with one person playing on the TV and the other on the GamePad, providing each player with his or her own screen.
  • This game also supports Amiibo character figues

A very fun and very surprising game! Surprising because you might think it isn't your cup of tea but if you like Zelda at all I think you'll be able to find merit in Hyrule Warriors despite it being so vastly different to a regular Zelda title. While nothing at all like your usual Zelda game obviously (and of course its not meant to be), the care and thought that has gone into all the fan service shows the developers were obviously huge fans of the series and I really appreciate that. Its a fantastic mix of the established Warriors gameplay but now with a wonderful Zelda coat of paint. A must have for fans of both series in my opinion, really well polished and will keep you having fun for ages!

This is a great game for two people to play together, as you are both able to fight on the same map together and move independently of one another. One major flaw I find though, is that the character player 2 is playing as is still visible on the map as a cpu unit. If they had removed the cpu unit character the game would have made me feel like player 2 played a more important part.

Mashing together the Dynasty Warrior series against the Legend of Zelda Universe sounds an almost impossible task but when you start to see the game in action at E3 2014 and see Zelda do some serious damage to Octorocks using the WindWaker, or see Link pull down the Moon from Majora's Mask after contacting a Fairy in order to kill a dragon using a hook-shot you know this going to deliver some insanely good fun
