Herod, the King of Judea is captured and taken prisoner by the Romans. His faithful lieutenant Aaron is supposed to kill the Queen if anything happens to Herod, but instead takes the Queen into hiding in the desert. Herod meanwhile negotiates his release from trhe Romans and returns to learn that he has been betrayed by Aaron and his wife.
