An “active†can be programmed to be anything from a lover, to a spy to a hostage negotiator before returning to the Dollhouse to be wiped, removing all of their memories and personalities. Eliza Dushku stars as the “active†Echo who discovers she is different to the other “actives†and beings to unravel the true purpose of the Dollhouse. Just like Firefly Dollhouse unfortunately came to a premature end however not without a substantial ending being put together first. A very solid offering from Joss Whedon and one I happily recommend to friends
