From Graham Linehan, co-writer of 'Father Ted', comes a new cult comedy set in a second hand bookshop. Dylan Moran stars as the bohemian, and frequently drunk, owner who has one major problem with his line of work: he hates customers. Help is soon at hand, however, in the form of mild-mannered Manny (Bill Bailey), who proves to be something of a star at selling books.
Cooking The Books: Bernard's dodgy accountant has to go on the run, leaving him ill prepared to fill out his own tax return. In fact Bernard would rather do anything than fill it out.
Manny First Day: After Manny's help with the tax return Bernard is pursuaded to hire him in the shop. Unfortunatly he actually sells some books, much to Bernard's annoyance.
The Grapes Of Wrath: Bernard and Manny accept a house sitting job to get away from their new cleaner. They also drink a lot of wine, some of which is proved to be irreplacable...
The Blackout: A hyperactive Manny, fuelled by caffeine, is mistaken for a policeman.
The Big Lock-Out: The shop gets a new security system that no-one can work, trapping them outside.
He's Leaving Home: Manny runs away from the bookshop into the arms of a beard loving photographer.
