During the second world war, camp labourers are working in squalor supplying steam engines and fuel for the Russian troop trains in Siberia. When one of workers discovers a German girl who had been hiding in one of the trains throughout the war, it kick starts a sequence of life threatening events for both of them as their struggle for survival begins in a savage and war-torn country.
