It is a epic spectacle of prison life and thee evils of corruption and saving grace of holding hope. The characters in this movie, while some may be dark and decieving, all of them are well executed by the actors portraying them and are built into an image of someone you believe could be a real person. Freeman's narration through the movie has made way for a legacy of quotes well associated with the movie. I watched all through the credits, just to do justice to this movie and have watched it time and time again, enjoying it more, each time I do.
