Based on a novel by Kenneth Royce, The XYY Man tells the adventures of a former cat burglar named William "Spider" Scott. British Intelligence decide he will be useful to them and recruit him into their ranks. The XYY refers to a man who has an extra male chromosome, a conditon characterised by height and a violent temperament. This series introduced the character of George Bulman, a police detective whose further adventures were shown in Strangers and Bulman
