Now, maybe I'm a little biased because I love the Gundam universe. However, this is just a really neat game. There is a sense of repetition; you fight a whole bunch of grunts and then fight a boss who is in some way involved in the storyline. To be fair, a lot of games do this; but it's just a little more obvious in Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3. The appeal of this game is the mechanics which dictate how strong your Gundams/mobile suits are - finding plans after battles. It's facets like that which make me like the game, and I think, generally speaking, everyone else likes that about the game. It's not just a matter of unlocking better plans out of causal necessity i.e. you unlock x after you beat this guy y.
Graphics aren't something that this game needs to rely on. It was made before the great renaissance graphical rendering, but they cannot be faulted by any stretch of the imagination.
Family members found the sountrack irritating, but I thought it was great, guitar-driven, classic action music from the raddest of anime series.
