Learn more about usI hardly ever enjoy games the very first time I play them, it ususally takes me a couple of goes before I really get into them, but this is actually one I liked right from the start. I've barely scratched the surface but so far it's a lot of fun.

The graphics are very cartoony if you compared it to something like Skyrim, but still perfectly ok for RPG. Where Skyrim is kinda dark and gloomy, KoA is bright and colourful, and the storyline behind it all is cool.

I recommend downloading the demo first from the Playstation Store like I did, as it gives you special items to use once you've installed the full version of the game, such as Mass Effect 3 themed armour and other goodies.
I just found this game to be a blast to play. The story isn't the greatest in the world but it isn't weak either. The thing I found so great about this game is the gameplay. The combat is just awesome and is the main thing bringing me back for more.

I know some people want to label it a button masher but I disagree. In the beginning I could see how someone might think that but later on it gets more in depth.

The main story can probably be beat in around 20-25 hours but there are countless side missions as well. I have put in about 95 hours with one character alone.
There's never a dull moment in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. There's a new item at practically every turn, and you can't travel more than a few feet without stumbling upon a side-quest. Players always have one skill or another that they can be honing, and the option to visit the Fateweavers is always there for a change of pace.
What an awesome game! I love Skyrim and that doesn't stop me from enjoying it! It is not an open world like Skyrim but it's certainly not a linear world like Dragon Age 2. Combat is fantastic and the freedom of character design is great. Fantastic value for money too.
