Great to start off for fighting games. Unbeatable price.

This fighting stick is responsive and is very good for beginners who want to have a feel of how a fighting stick is like. It comes with a square gate which means it is easier to do quarter circle and half circle moves. If you want to invite friends over to play with you, but you don't want to give them your high quality fighting sticks (e.g. Mad Catz Tournament Edition 2 (TE 2) or Hori Real Arcade Pro V Hayabusa (RAP V) then this will be a good investment. In addition, this fighting stick is very portable so you can bring it over to your friend's place and start button mashing. This product cannot be modified, therefore, if you want to modify your fighting stick in future you are better off investing in other fighting sticks such as Mad Catz TE 2 or Hori RAP V.
For people who are just getting into fighting games and wanted to use fighting stick then this product is highly recommended. However, for people who are already into fighting games and would like to start using a fighting stick, then probably it is best to invest in a better fighting stick like Hori RAP V (approx. $250 NZD). This is because you can save money from upgrading from a Hori Fighting Stick Mini 4 to a Hori RAP V or perhaps a Mad Catz TE 2 unless you want two fighting sticks in future.
Overall, Hori Fighting Stick Mini 4 is a superb fighting stick for beginners who want to learn how to play fighting games.
